Jessica Santana

Jessica focuses on digital inclusion in rural Latin America and the Caribbean, but also volunteers her time to digital inclusion efforts in underserved communities in the United States. She currently serves as Project Coordinator at Inveneo, a San Francisco-based nonprofit that provides information and communication technology (ICT) solutions to rural organizations in developing regions. Jessica is also an after-school computer instructor at an East Oakland elementary school. When she is not at Inveneo or teaching computer skills to young minds, Jessica assists Media Alliance in promoting and achieving digital inclusion in Oakland. Jessica fell in love with the Oakland community while working for TransFair USA, the Oakland-based national certifier of Fair Trade products. Jessica holds a BA in international and area studies from the University of Oklahoma. Whenever she gets a free moment, Jessica is researching digital inclusion and rural development, traveling, running, or enjoying the Great Outdoors.
